The largest lake in Promised Land State Park is the 422 acre Promised Land Lake. There is a 5K and 10K loop around the lake for hiking, running and bike riding. The loop begins about a 1/4 mile east of Route 390 on Park Avenue. There you will find a 6"x6" post marking the beginning of the hike/run for the 5K & 10K. There are mile markers around the lake, including the turnaround for the 5K, which is an out and back. The 10K ends in the main parking lot where the beach is located. It is a beautiful and easy trail along quiet paved roads with very little elevation.

     Promised Land State Park has more than 50 miles of hiking trails. A trail map brochure can be picked up in the park office on Route 390. All state parks in Pennsylvania are FREE!
